Pitbull Acres

Meet Mike

Mike grew up in Iowa before moving to South Dakota as a teenager. In 1996, he met his wife, and together they’ve built a life raising two grown children, four pit bulls, and a couple of cats on their acreage.

With a strong background in construction, Mike was able to design and build the ideal cultivation space, laying the foundation for his journey into South Dakota’s cannabis industry.
His first plants went in the ground in July 2022, and since then, he’s embraced every stage of the cultivation process. For Mike, the most rewarding moment is seeing the finished product prepared and ready to serve patients.

To strengthen his expertise, Mike completed the University of Wisconsin–Platteville’s Cannabis Agriculture and Horticulture Certificate Program. The program provided him with practical, science based knowledge that he now applies directly to his grows, ensuring patients receive safe, reliable, and high quality cannabis.

Mike is excited about the future of South Dakota’s cannabis industry and is committed to producing premium flower that supports the well being of patients across the state.

Meet Max

Max is 14 years old. Not our first pit but our sweetest!

He’s a gentle giant that needed to be rehomed at a young age. He loves to guide the other dogs into trouble. Max will roam the acreage for hours and afterwards he can’t wait to cuddle. He is for sure our cuddle guy and with his old man status, he thinks listening in an option.

Meet Thor

If you're a visitor you get a Thor Badge!

Thor is our smartest and maybe silliest boy at 5 years old. He loves to run, play and run some more! Thor was a bit too spunky for old man Max so we rescued Loki for a playmate!

Thor has some anxiety so he prefers to be on his acreage around his people, but by far our smartest four legged boy.

Meet Vinny

Vinny is living his best life out here learning and growing daily! He love to press his luck with Thor and is settling in well as the baby.

Meet Loki

Loki was our rescue from El Paso. He was killed in a hit and run on our road May 31st, 2024.

We built Loki’s “Doggie Hilton” or also know as Loki’s palace shortly after he arrived home. Loki loved his palace his pool and pool chairs. His personality was the best, his kisses were even better and we were sure(or he was sure)he came from a royal bloodline. Loki is terribly missed and his palace sits empty.

To honor our prince Loki we will now be using his palace to foster puppies in need. He is our forever puppy and we will miss him forever.
